Membrane architecture with high requirements has long been considered an independent business branch. CENO TECH, a subsidiary of Greven in Germany, specializes in providing solutions for textile buildings, sports arena roofs, pavilion buildings, as well as other environmentally friendly buildings and technical projects.

At present, most membrane structure projects in China use polyester fiber membrane materials, that is, PVC polyester fiber membrane materials. The surface is coated with PVDF fluoropolymer, which enhances the pollution resistance and aging resistance of the original PVC membrane materials. The service life of the membrane materials has increased to 10-15 years. Polyester fiber is the most widely used fiber in membrane construction and is considered a standard product for building membrane materials. Polyester fiber has high tensile strength and good elasticity. Before yielding under tension, fibers have a significant ability to elongate and deform, allowing for certain adjustments during installation. However, sunlight will cause polyester fibers to age and reduce their mechanical properties such as elasticity and strength, so many buildings use permanent membrane materials such as PTFE and ETFE.
