Why use DuraFab ®- Amy series architectural film materials?

Safety and excellent fire resistance

DuraFab ®- Aimei Building Membrane Material has excellent fire resistance performance, and the outer membrane material can meet the requirements of GB8624-B1/EN 13501-1 B-class non combustible materials and ASTM 108 Class A in the United States. The inner membrane material (DuraLux series) meets the A-level fire protection requirements for interior decoration.

Longer service life, higher cost-effectiveness

DuraFab ®- Aimei Architectural Membrane Material is made by using advanced coating technology on ultra-fine glass fiber (3-4 micron diameter, β yarn) fabric, coated with chemically inert PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene resin, commonly known as “Teflon”) or Silicone (silicone resin). The coating is perfectly combined with the glass fiber base fabric and can be safely used in the temperature range of -50 ℃ to+170 ℃. It has good resistance to ultraviolet aging, cold and heat, and humidity, and can maintain stable performance in high-altitude or hot summer areas. Compared with similar products, this product has better tensile, flexural, and tear resistance, making processing and installation easier and more efficient. After installation, it can be safely and reliably used for 25 years or even longer (with a 15 year warranty from the original factory), making it a truly “permanent” film material.

Stronger self-cleaning and aesthetic properties

DuraFab ®- The surface of Aimei Architectural Membrane Material has been treated with a patented formula of titanium dioxide (TiO2) photocatalyst. After installation, the surface of the material is not easily contaminated with dust and particles in the air. By relying on natural rainwater or sunlight (which decomposes organic matter), the surface of the membrane material can be kept clean and white for a long time. Even in high-temperature and humid areas, there is no need to worry about mold damage, truly achieving “maintenance free”. The self-cleaning performance achieved by our advanced coating treatment is unmatched by ordinary PVDF coating membrane materials.

Better transparency

DuraFab ®- Emmy architectural film material is a semi transparent material, with a maximum light transmittance of 20% for the outer film material. When light enters during the day, it can make the interior transparent and bright, reducing lighting and promoting energy conservation and environmental protection. As ultraviolet rays are almost impossible to pass through the film material, it can also have a good sun shading and protection effect. At night, indoor and outdoor lighting (LED) can better highlight buildings. The transmittance of the inner membrane material (DuraLux series) can reach up to 50%, and the special coating treatment of the material can form a natural diffuse reflection of light without dazzling, making it an ideal material for various lightweight soft film ceilings or lightbox ceilings.
